"Spending time in Vatra Dornei as part of the Erasmus+ program was one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve ever had. I met incredible people from different countries, and together we created a space filled with openness, trust, and genuine connection.
This wasn’t just about workshops or scheduled activities — it was about the long talks, the mountain walks, the cultural evenings, and the quiet moments that turned into lasting memories. We learned how to improve our CVs, how to face job interviews, and how to work as a team, but above all, we learned more about ourselves and each other.
I left Romania with new skills, more confidence, and a strong sense of personal growth. Taking part in this project pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I’m truly glad it did.
Thank you to everyone who made this journey so special. I’ll carry these moments with me for a long time, and I hope our paths cross again someday." - Kamil

"I had the opportunity to take part in an Erasmus Youth Exchange "NextGen: Employability" in picturesque Vatra Dornei in Romania. The exchange gathered participants from Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Italy and Czech Republic. During the project we engaged in various workshops and practical activities that taught us team working and let us practice English. Each country had their own cultural evening where they presented their culture, languages, dances and cuisine. We learned how to make a video CV and how to be successful in job interviews. With my team, I created our own educational board game about employability. This exchange was not only about learning, but also creating unforgettable memories, meeting inspiring people and gaining new friends. I would like to thank everyone and DGT Polska who made this time so wonderful and unique 💗" - Iza

"Thank you, my dear Erasmus+ family, for such an unforgettable and heartwarming experience.❤️🔥
The atmosphere we created together, the amazing people I met, the fun games, inspiring workshops, beautiful cultural nights🌌, deep conversations and long walks – everything felt just right.
This project helped me grow in so many ways.🌱 I discovered more about myself, learned how to create my own CV video, and what to expect during a job interview. We even designed our own educational games – something I never thought I’d be part of. I’ve opened up more, stepped outside my comfort zone, and gained a little more confidence in public speaking, which I’m really proud of.🗣
I’m so grateful 🫶for every shared moment, every smile, and every silly laugh.😃 I’ll miss you all deeply, but I know that a part of you will stay with me wherever I go.🥰
Thank you for making this journey so special. 🎒Let's never forget what we created together. 💛✨️
Love you guys🫶" - Eliza

"📍Vatra Dornei, Romania | Erasmus+ Youth Exchange 2-12 of June 2025
I’ve just come back from one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had — the NextGen: EmployAbility youth exchange, set in the beautiful mountains of Romania.
I spent 9 days with an amazing group of young people from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Poland, Türkiye, and Romania.
Throughout the journey, we explored what employability really means — not just getting a job, but building the kinds of skills that help you adapt, communicate, collaborate, and solve problems in real-life situations. It wasn’t about theory or lectures — we learned by doing, reflecting, sharing, and growing through each other’s experiences.
What stood out the most for me was how open and supportive the atmosphere was. Many of us came from different backgrounds and faced different challenges, but we were all there for the same reason — to learn, to connect, and to become better prepared for whatever comes next.
We stayed in a cozy mountain guesthouse, surrounded by nature, which gave us the chance to slow down and really focus — not just on learning, but on connecting with others and with ourselves.
I’m leaving this project with new friends, fresh ideas, and a clearer vision of what I want to do moving forward. Huge thanks to @initiative.sociale and all the partner organizations that made this possible<33" - Pawel
"New project, new people… maybe the same location, but definitely new adventures and unforgettable memories:)So , between 2nd and 12th of June I took part in an Erasmus+ youth exchange in Vatra Dornei with @initiative.sociale . The moment we all arrived—48 participants from across Europe—it already felt like something special was about to happen. Tired but excited, we were welcomed with so much warmth by the facilitators @lexilexionescu and @akittaqi also a huge thank you to them for their energy, care, and all the behind-the-scenes work that made this project run so smoothly.
•So what did I love the most? Honestly, it’s hard to choose. The breathtaking views, the unexpected connections, the laughter, the late-night guitar sessions, and that strange mix of chaos and comfort that only Erasmus projects can bring.
We kicked things off with icebreakers and name game sessions—everything from speed “clock dating” to designing our personal coat of arms. I didn’t expect to reflect so deeply on my personal coat of arms while also laughing so hard over toilet paper games.
We explored youth employability from all angles—national presentations, personal SWOT analyses, and even building our own video CVs. The role-playing job interviews pushed us out of our comfort zones, and watching how everyone approached it was inspiring.
One of the most creative parts of the week was the Youthpass Theatre Scene—we turned the 8 key competences into short plays that were both hilarious and surprisingly insightful. And let’s not forget the NextGen Hackathon: two intense days of brainstorming, problem mapping, and prototyping real solutions to real issues. Watching our raw ideas slowly turn into something tangible was incredibly fulfilling and showed what we can achieve together
There were also vibrant intercultural nights—Romania, Poland, Turkiye, Czech Republic,Greece,Italy,Bulgaria —full of dancing, music, stories, and food. Lots of food.
And as all Erasmus projects go, the last day came too fast. We wrapped up with reflection circles, final feedback, and little handwritten messages to one another. It was emotional, wholesome, and a perfect ending.
Thank you everyone 💞" - Denisa

"My "NextGen: EmployAbility" Journey in Romania!
I was part of the “NextGen: EmployAbility” Youth Exchange in Vatra Dornei, Romania!
Between June 2–12, 2025, I proudly joined 6 other partner organizations for an Erasmus+ youth exchange held in Vatra Dornei (Argestru), Romania.
Together with 45 young people and 7 group leaders from Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Turkey, and Poland, my team explored employability skills through interactive workshops, dynamic group work, and cross-cultural exchange. The focus? Building confidence, boosting key competences, and preparing for the modern labor market.
Throughout 9 days, I:
- Strengthened my skills in communication, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving
- Took part in personal development sessions
- Engaged in cultural evenings and international bonding
- Gained tools to support my future career
Beyond the structured sessions, what really stood out was the incredible energy and diverse perspectives everyone brought. Sharing meals, exploring the beautiful Romanian scenery, and simply chatting during breaks created a unique atmosphere where learning felt natural and exciting. I walked away not just with new skills, but also with a deeper appreciation for different cultures and the power of international collaboration.
This exchange truly opened my eyes to the vast opportunities available in the modern workforce and how crucial soft skills are for success. It reinforced my belief that continuous learning and global networking are key to navigating today's dynamic labor market. I feel much more prepared and confident about my next steps, thanks to the practical insights and inspiration I gained.
Special thanks to our wonderful hosts and all partner organizations for making this experience unforgettable. Erasmus+ continues to open doors and shape futures, and I'm happy to be part of it! ❤" - Horia
